Sri Laxmi Auto Consulting Udumalai ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Sri Laxmi Auto Consulting Udumalai, 60, Palani Rd, UKP Nagar, Kalyani Nagar, Udumalaipettai, Tamil Nadu 642126. Phone 9842232443, email gunarithan@gmail.com.
Vehicle loans are given by our finance firm, Sri Lakshmi Auto Finance, at the same address. It is responsible for the loan data described below.
2. What we collect
- Enquiry form: your name, mobile number, email (optional) and message.
- When you buy a vehicle from us: your name, mobile number, the guarantor's name and mobile number (if any), the vehicle registration number, the sale price, and photos taken at the time of sale (buyer with vehicle, guarantor).
- If you take a loan from Sri Lakshmi Auto Finance: your name, mobile number and address; the guarantor's name and mobile number; the vehicle; the loan terms (amount, interest, EMIs, late fees, any early-closure discount); every payment and receipt; and the WhatsApp reminders and receipts we send you.
- Loan login: if you set a PIN to see your loans online, we keep it only in scrambled (hashed) form and record when you last logged in.
- Payment details you see: our bank account, UPI ID and QR code are shown on your loan page. We do not collect your bank or card details; your payment goes through your own bank or UPI app.
- Technical data: your IP address, used only in hashed form to stop spam and repeated failed logins, and deleted after one day.
We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- To record a vehicle sale, complete the registration (RC) transfer, and meet our legal and tax obligations.
- To run your loan: work out your EMIs, record payments, send you reminders and receipts on WhatsApp, show you your loan page, and keep accounts for our accountant and the tax authorities.
- To keep this website secure.
4. Consent
When you send an enquiry, you agree to us using your details to contact you about it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by calling or emailing us, and we will delete your enquiry.
5. Who we share it with
- Hostinger: stores this website and its database.
- Google: the map on our Contact page is loaded from Google Maps. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.
- Cloudflare: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a spam program, is sending them. It looks at technical signals from your browser and does not use advertising cookies.
- WhatsApp: if you choose to message us there, and to send loan customers their reminders and receipts. We open WhatsApp on our phone with the message ready; we do not use automated bulk messaging.
- Our accountant: loan and payment records, for our books and tax filings.
- Government authorities (such as the RTO): only when needed to transfer a vehicle, or when required by law.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries you send us: kept so we can help you with any later question about a vehicle. Ask us any time and we will delete yours.
- Sale records and photos (buyer, guarantor, vehicle): kept for as long as they may be needed for ownership transfer, RTO, legal, tax or dispute matters about that vehicle. They are never deleted automatically.
- Loan records (loan terms, payments, receipts, reminders): kept for at least 8 years after the loan closes, as accounting and tax law requires, and never deleted automatically. Your loan login can be switched off at any time on request.
- Security logs: 24 months. Spam-prevention data: 1 day.
7. How we protect it
Encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-protected staff accounts with login limits, role-based access, sale photos that are not publicly accessible, an audit trail of staff actions, and regular backups. Your loan page opens only with the private link we send you or your mobile number and PIN; it is never shown to search engines or saved by the site on your device, and the login ends after 30 minutes without use.
8. Cookies
We use one essential cookie (slac_session) to keep forms secure and to keep staff and loan customers logged in. The site may also save pages on your device so they open faster and work offline. You can clear both in your browser settings.
9. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you may:
- ask what personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct, complete or update it;
- ask us to delete it, unless we must keep it by law;
- withdraw your consent;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you;
- raise a grievance with us (see below).
10. Grievances
We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Children
This site is not meant for anyone under 18. A parent or guardian should contact us on their behalf.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
